Cross Country

TEACHER IN CHARGE: Mr. B. Smith

COMPETITION:   Predominantly throughout term 2. Includes School, BOP, Waikato, Super 8 and 
National Championships as well as relays.

TRAINING: Begins Term 1 and continues year round.
Monday– Group run meet 3:20pm in G1 
Tuesday–Track Session, meet 3:20pm in G1 
Wednesday– Run the boardwalk, meet 3:20pm in G1 
Thursday– Track Session, meet 3:20pm in G1
Friday– Group run, meet 3:20pm in G1. 
Saturday– Track session to be advised.
Boys are asked to be collected from the training venue on a Tuesday and 
Thursday.

VENUES:  In 2013 boys will travel to Christchurch for the National Championships and to 
Palmerston North for the Super 8 Championships. All other events are based in 
the BOP / Waikato area.

UNIFORM:  School Cross Country singlets and shorts are loaned out for competitions.

EQUIPMENT:  PE uniform and running shoes for training sessions.

COST:  $90 Registration fee.
This includes entry, transport and accommodation to Mt. Relay, BOP, Waikato 
and Super 8 Champs. There will be a further cost associated with the National 
Champs for those boys attending. Team members are encouraged to purchase a 
‘Cross Country’ team jacket as part of competition uniform.
